All in all, I came away from this presentation with a gigantic sense of anticipointment (which means coming in with great anticipation and leaving with great disappointment).
Sorry, Disney, but this entire presentation was a huge letdown. Disney HAD to know that fans were expecting some major news and got NOTHING. Much of this year's presentation was a re-has of 2009 with a few nuggets of new information, which Disney immediately shared on the official blog seconds later:
- New videos about Fantasyland Expansion
- New details about Shanghai Disneyland
- New experiences at Disneyland
All in all, Disney really needs to re-think their approach when it comes to these big presentations at future D23 Expos. If they're not giving attendees a big WOW, they will end up with a big FAIL.

Right on target, Chuck. Anticipointment, indeed.
Disagree..Disney didn't make any grand promises of a huge announcement...it was the Disney community that was creating the hype and hoping that something would be announced. How much is Disney suppose to do? Fantasyland and the DCA expansion are huge projects...I think as fans we should be happy to get what we do and quit being greedy
While you bring up a good point Vance, I do think Disney had to be aware of the expectations. It was NO secret that the fans were expecting some announcements. Given that the Parks presentation originally was set for 90 minutes, and was cut to 60 minutes hours before the event, I have to wonder if some announcements had to be nixed.
I thought they'd at least use this as their opportunity to release info about the five new movies coming out between now and 2014...wow, anticipointment indeed!
I have to agree with Vance on this one.
