In another surprising announcement, Disney today announced that they are working on a new graphics overlay for the popular monorail system at Walt Disney World. One of the monorails will feature TRON lightcycles - blue on one side, yellow on the other.
As you can see from the image above, these are major overlays - far more than recent overlays for What Will You Celebrate? or Year of a Million Dreams. Click on the image above for a larger version.
A Disney spokesperson today clarified the extent of this overlay -- it will only be on one train.
What do you think of this new overlay? Post a comment!

I think they look fantastic! And if I read the Disney Parks Blog correctly then they are only going to be on the EPCOT and TTC line. But if I may just say something. I have to disagree with many other people who have been saying that it's shameless advertising. I don't see it as advertising as the Monorail does not say TRON: LEGACY DECEMBER 17th, 2010 Only In Theatres! I just see TRON and a great piece of art that is just going to make people say WOW!
I will voice that ANYTHING is better than those horrid ugly 'balloon's that are currently defacing the monorails. Not sure dark and threatening is the way to go though. Fine for a promo piece, but the monorail is not tied into any single attraction or even location but is more of a corporate symbol and thus this may be inappropriate.
I like the original look much better but if it is only on one train then I can deal with it. I just don't think something as iconic as the monorail should be messed with.
